Journey to the Sacred Land
Peak Kamuk is, without a doubt, a gemstone amidst the highest mountains of Central America. Kamuk stands 3550 meters (11,000 ft) closer to heaven and like a sentinel, guards the pristine mountains of La Amistad (Friendship) Biosphere Reserve, declared a natural World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1983.
Kamuk is home to many indigenous communities, both on the Pacific slopes as well as on the Caribbean. These communities consider these mountains to be sacred land and few have trekked the trail that leads to the summit.
Euforia has created an inspiring expedition that takes adventurers to the heart of La Amistad, experiencing a true encounter with both the culture and the Sacred Land.
